How To Get Your Pay Statement

View, print, and save copies of your pay statements from the Employee Self-Service (ESS) screen.

Your pay statements are archived for as long as you’ve been active in HIP and accessible via both computer and mobile devices.  NOTE: if you want a full-size pay statement, you will need to access the HIP portal from a computer.  Once you terminate employment, your pay statements will be available through the HIP portal for 120 days.  After that period, you will need to contact your department payroll/fiscal office for assistance retrieving copies of old pay statements.

STEPS

1. Login to the HIP portal and navigate to your ESS screen.

2. Click on the Pay Statements tile.

3. To change the date range of pay statements you can see, use the filter icon in the upper left-hand corner to select the date range you would like to view.

4. Using the arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner changes the dates the pay statements are sorted in.

5. Click on a pay statement result in the list to view the details.

COMPUTERS

HIP will generate your pay statements as a .pdf file that you can download, save or print.  You will need to disable your browser’s pop-up blocker to allow the .pdf pay statement to appear for you.

MOBILE DEVICES

When viewing your pay statements on your smartphone or tablet, the view is condensed to fit a smaller screen.  You can expand each section – Earnings, Taxes, etc. by clicking on them to view more details.

EARNINGS AMOUNTS, DEDUCTIONS, TAXES

If you have questions about garnished wages, please contact [email protected] for assistance, as the HIP Service Center does not manage employee garnishments.

For questions about how much you’ve earned, or if you believe you are missing pay, and for general questions about your deductions or taxes, please contact your department payroll/fiscal office.
