Use the HIP system to submit your time for payroll purposes or take leave from the Employee Self-Service (ESS) screen. The “Time and Leave” features are available to State of Hawaii employees who work for the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
These features are available when you’re accessing the HIP system on a State-Networked computer. For employees without regular access to a computer, timesheets and leave requests will be handled by your designated timekeeper and leave keeper.
