Campaign Spending Commission

The Campaign Spending Commission is hereby publishing the names of candidate and candidate committees who have failed to file or correct the following reports:

1. ORGANIZATIONAL REPORT
2. DISCLOSURE REPORT OR LATE CONTRIBUTIONS REPORT

1. Organizational Report

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §11-322(c), the Commission is required to publish on its website the names of all candidates who have failed to file the organizational report or correct the organizational report within two weeks after the Commission provides a notice to correct.

Failure To File Organizational Report

The following candidate(s) has/have failed to file the Organizational Report within ten days of filing nomination papers or within ten days of receiving contributions or making or incurring expenditures of more than $100 in the aggregate during the applicable election period, whichever was earlier:

Failure To Correct Organizational Report

The following candidate(s) has/have failed to file a corrected Organizational Report within two weeks after the Commission provided a notice to correct:

None

2. Disclosure Report or Late Contributions Report

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §11-340(f) the Commission is required to publish on its website the names of all candidate committees that have failed to file a report or correct a report within two weeks from the notice to correct provided by the commission.

Failure To File Disclosure Report or Late Contributions Report

The following candidates have failed to file the Supplemental Report due January 31, 2025:

The fine for not filing the Supplemental Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $50 per day for the first seven days, beginning with the day after the due date of the report, and shall not exceed $200 per day thereafter; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine for a report filed more than four days after the due date, if assessed, shall be $200.

The following candidates have failed to file the Final Election Period Report due December 5, 2024:

The fine for not filing the Final Election Period Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $50 per day for the first seven days, beginning with the day after the due date of the report, and shall not exceed $200 per day thereafter; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine for a report filed more than four days after the due date, if assessed, shall be $200.

The fine for not filing the Final Election Period Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $50 per day for the first seven days, beginning with the day after the due date of the report, and shall not exceed $200 per day thereafter; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine for a report filed more than four days after the due date, if assessed, shall be $200.

The fine for not filing the 2nd Preliminary General Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $300 per day; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine, if assessed, shall be $300.

The fine for not filing the 1st Preliminary General Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $50 per day for the first seven days, beginning with the day after the due date of the report, and shall not exceed $200 per day thereafter; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine for a report filed more than four days after the due date, if assessed, shall be $200.

The fine for not filing the 1B Preliminary Primary Report by the due date, if assessed, shall not exceed $50 per day for the first seven days, beginning with the day after the due date of the report, and shall not exceed $200 per day thereafter; provided that in aggregate, the fine shall not exceed twenty-five per cent of the total amount of contributions or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the report; and the minimum fine for a report filed more than four days after the due date, if assessed, shall be $200.

Failure To Correct Disclosure Report or Late Contributions Report

The following candidate committee(s) has/have failed to file a corrected report within fourteen days after the Commission’s notice of defect or deficiency was mailed:
