Information for Banks and Credit Unions

Effective with the 1/4/2019 pay day, State of Hawaii employees will be paid using Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, and the State of Hawaii has discontinued batched checks to financial institutions.  Employees may be issued individual paper pay checks, on an exception basis.

Please note that the State of Hawaii does not accept NOCs, as employees are responsible for designating the financial institution and account of their choice.  Financial institutions are requested to return an ACH transactions for incorrect account information to the State of Hawaii and the employee will be informed that a correction is necessary.
