Notices of Workers’ Compensation Insurance
Under the UIPA, notices of insurance, copies of contracts and policies, and statements of benefits collected and maintained by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations under section 386-122, Hawaii Revised Statutes, must be publicly accessible. This statute requires employers to secure workers’ compensation insurance for their employees through the purchase of a workers’ compensation insurance policy. This information is not confidential commercial and financial information protected from disclosure under the UIPA.
