What is the EFS Project?
The Enterprise Financial System (EFS) Project aims to implement a new financial system that will modernize current business operations while continuing to evolve with the future needs of the State of Hawaii. This extensive modernization effort will impact all state departments and agencies, the three branches of state government, institutions of higher education, vendors providing goods and services to the state, and constituents—making the project a monumental undertaking with an everlasting impact on the Aloha State.
By leveraging the latest technology and best practices, the EFS Project will revolutionize Hawaii’s financial management capabilities, increase government leaders’ ability to make informed decisions, and enhance the overall quality of public services provided to our local community.
EFS Project Objectives
The main objectives of the EFS Project consist of improving the accuracy, speed, and integration of financial operations; reducing redundancy, and manual work; and implementing a scalable system that can continue to adapt to the State’s future business needs.
