With over 15 years of experience in IT and project management across the banking, utility, real estate, and technology sectors, Yovo Stefanov currently serves as the Project Director of the newly established Business Transformation Office (BTO), a newly established office under the direction of the Office of the Comptroller within the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS).

“I’m excited to bring my experience to the government sector and contribute to a large-scale modernization effort that puts Hawai‘i’s people first.”

In this leadership role, Yovo will spearhead statewide enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives, starting with the EFS Project, which are essential to standardizing and unifying critical business processes across the State of Hawaii.

Before joining the public sector, Yovo worked as a Senior Project Manager at Hawaiʻi Gas and before that, he spent four years at First Hawaiian Bank, where he led compliance systems and oversaw the modernization of a 40-year-old mainframe system.

Yovo holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and IT, from Hawaiʻi Pacific University. A former professional soccer player, he also remains active in the sport and contributes his time to volunteer efforts in the community.
