The EFS Change Leader Spotlight is a recurring feature highlighting our EFS Change Leaders, who have been specially selected and recognized for their outstanding support of the Enterprise Financial System (EFS) Project. This spotlight features Janis Morita, Administrative Services Office Chief from the Department of Health.

Department of Health

With over 30 years of service to the State of Hawaii, Janis brings a wealth of institutional knowledge in financial system implementations to her role as Administrative Services Office Chief at the Department of Health (DOH). In her current position, she oversees the development and implementation of the Purchase Order Web System while simultaneously working on enhancing existing systems within the department to increase document processing efficiency through new technologies.

Before joining DOH, Janis spent 26 years at the University of Hawaiʻi, gaining extensive experience in areas such as accounting, financial reporting, procurement, contracts and grants, budgeting, facilities, and human resources.
