State SMEs Discuss Organizational Impacts of EFS Project

Posted on Oct 4, 2024 in News, Recent News

In mid-September, the Enterprise Financial System (EFS) Project team engaged over 40 subject matter experts (SMEs) from various State departments to discuss the project’s organizational impacts during the EFS Organizational Impact Workshop. Facilitated in collaboration with Spire Hawaii, the workshop allowed attendees to provide critical feedback and diverse perspectives on how the new EFS will affect their departments’ overall operations.

Input from workshop attendees will directly shape how the project team communicates the State’s needs and requirements in the finalized EFS request for proposals (RFP), especially in the following areas:

  • Budget construction
  • Budget controls in the State’s accounting system
  • Grouping of system functionality
  • Departments’ resource capacity

As the EFS team finalizes the RFP, these insights from various departments will be crucial in selecting a software platform and system integrator to support the implementation of the new EFS.
