With over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Susan Abe brings extensive expertise in leading enterprise-level modernization initiatives and cross-functional programs to her role as Deputy Director of the Department of Accounting and General Services’ Business Transformation Office (BTO).
She has a proven record of developing corporate strategies and operational frameworks that improve productivity, optimize performance, and deliver measurable gains in efficiency, service quality, and cost reduction.
Before joining BTO, Susan held senior leadership roles at The Queen’s Health Systems, where she oversaw system-wide operations, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and advised executive leadership on performance optimization and strategic growth.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and holds professional certifications in process improvement methodologies.
