The Public Archives of Hawaiʻi is CLOSED
Posted on Mar 20, 2020 in HSA NewsDue to the current on-going COVID-19 situation, which has caused many organizations, institutions and offices to close to the public, DLNR has closed the ʻIolani Palace Grounds. As a result, the Public Research Room at the Public Archives of Hawaiʻi will be closed to the public until further notice. We apologize for this very short notice but please note this closure is to help keep our communities, guests, friends, families and staff safe during this unpredictable time. We will continue to service requests for Certification of Documents, but in-person servicing will not be possible as long as the Palace Grounds are closed to the Public. Please email us your requests so that we can confirm your request and make sure the amount due is correct including the appropriate postage for return of completed order.
Until the situation changes, staff will be available through email to answer any questions you may have of any current order for services as well as general questions about our collections. We will be working to upload more digital content online to offer as much assistance as we can for remote access, however we are limited by the resources we currently have and services may be interrupted/delayed without notice. Therefore we ask for your patience and you can reach out to us by email: [email protected].
Please check our website periodically for the latest announcements, but most importantly please stay informed and safe. We look forward to serving you again in the very near future.
