As part of the month-long ʻOnipaʻa commemoration of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Liliʻuokalani, the Hawaiʻi State Archives (HSA) and the Hui o Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī Coalition will sponsor an illustrated research presentation by Ronald Williams Jr. PhD, Archivist at the HSA. The presentation, “ʻIke Mōakaaka. Revealing Native Agency in Unlikely Places: The 1894 Constitution of the Republic of Hawaiʻi” is being hosted by Punahou School and will highlight one of the numerous historic, original-source collections held, protected, and made accessible by the Hawaiʻi State Archives. This talk is open and free to the public.
