Hawaiʻi State Archives is Open to the Public Mondays through Fridays

The Public Archives is open Mondays through Fridays except on State holidays from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

With the emergency proclamation related to COVID-19 expired on March 25, 2022, the Hawaiʻi State Archives will adhere to the following:

  • The state’s indoor mask requirement has ended and therefore masks are optional.
  • Visitors and contractors to state facilities will no longer be required to show vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 test result.

However, all other restrictions related to the use of the Public Archives will be followed per the Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules and Registration process, including a maximum number of 8 researchers at any given time.
